Dabond (polyester) thread is the industry standard for sewing manufacturing outdoor goods such as awnings, marine canvas, sails, tents, boat covers, equipment covers, flags, tarps etc.

Coats Dabond UV leads the outdoor sewing industry in the following characteristics:

  • Resistance to sunlight and UV radiation
  • Resistance to severe abrasion
  • Resistance to needle heat
  • Rot-proof and color-fast when exposed to external elements like acid rain, chlorinated water, sea water etc.

  • Use #20 Needle or Greater
  • Used on Heavier Fabrics
